SCPS 2014-2015 School Grades Released

(SANFORD, Fla.) Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) is excited to announce that school grades for the 2014-2015 school year were released today from the Florida Department of Education (FDOE).  Once again, SCPS remains an “A”-rated district.  Please see attached summary for a listing of schools and their grades.

“We’re proud and appreciative of our teachers for sticking to the standards despite all of the controversy surrounding testing and encourage them to continue those tremendous efforts.  In addition, we wish to congratulate our students for all their hard work and academic success.  This is the first time ever in the history of Seminole County that all our high schools have received an “A”-rating.  However, it’s important to note that this year’s grades and how they will look next year are like comparing apples to oranges as next year’s formula will include and factor-in learning gains, which this year’s scores did not.  So, the results next year may look different.  Regardless of the grading formula, we will strive to continue to improve at all of our schools and ensure all our students receive a quality education and are well-prepared for their future.” – Dr. Walt Griffin, Superintendent, SCPS
