Why Do We Need Prevention Programs And Activities?

Your Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) Safe and Drug-Free Schools staff works diligently to build collaborative partnerships between the schools and their communities. Together, with partners like teachers, administrators, parents, and local businesses, they assess needs and resources to create a vision for developing and maintaining effective prevention programs. Several strategies and programs are examined and implemented to support all students and their families. These programs will help youth obtain skills to engage in healthy behavior and provide family-school-community environments that support healthy behavior.

SCPS is implementing evidence-based prevention programming and activities in all grade levels to help achieve this goal.
